Feels Nice In My Hand, Not Reliable Like Gen 1 This Replaced, Like The Microphone In This Model

Feels Nice In My Hand, Not Reliable Like Gen 1 This Replaced, Like The Microphone In This Model
I mostly like this "gen 2" FireTV game controller. It feels nice in my hands, the controls are responsive, the microphone added in this model is convenient, and the batteries seem to last a little better. This would be a solid 5 stars, but for what I feel is a very annoying problem. The one I got seems to have lapses on both joy sticks. What I mean is I'll move the stick and nothing will happen. Sometimes for several seconds or till I re-center the stick and try again. This is not frequent but it seems to mostly happen at the worst times.I got this to replace my original (gen 1?) FireTV controller that I got for my original Fire TV in 2014. That old one lasted a very long time before one of the buttons broke and till then was always reliable. This one plays a little better when not acting-up, but when it does...All considered this is a very nice game controller. The mic is a nice addition and it feels nice in my hands. Maybe it's just mine but rare or not loss of response in the controls is pretty bad even if it rarely happens. I'll probably ask Amazon for a replacement, but till then I can't give this the 5 stars I would like, but only 3. Reliability issues are just too much of a spoiler for me.
